Solid Parquet

Solid parquet application is made by cutting well-dried wood into thin layers and strips of 15-20 mm thickness. Professional knowledge is required during the application phase and it is more costly than other parquet applications.

Solid parquets can be produced in different sizes from hardwoods such as hornbeam, oak, spruce, rosewood, tooth knot and beech. Two different methods are used in applying solid parquet to the floor. In the first of these, the solid parquet is fixed on the cement screed with the help of special adhesives. In another method, it is applied by nailing solid parquet on a blind floor or a quadrant.

After the assembly process is completed, they are made ready for use with sanding and polishing top surface treatments. A qualified workforce is required during implementation. The varnish, which has worn away over time, is scratched and worn, and the solid surface can be re-sanded and polished to achieve its first day appearance. This extends the life of solid parquet and allows it to be used for many years. It is used in living spaces in residences and in places such as offices due to the warmth it creates in the interior.
