Glazed ceramic tile floors are one of the most widely used durable and long-lasting flooring materials. Liquid glass is fired on the tile at high temperature to obtain a hard and non-porous glaze.
Glazed ceramic is resistant to staining, marks and dirt, as well as easy to clean with a damp mop or sponge. Ceramic tile floors do not contain bacteria, allergic substances and odors. Glossy polished surfaces can be roughened more easily and are more slippery than matte surfaces. For this reason, in the selection of ceramic tiles, glossy or matt surfaces are preferred by determining the function and action in the space.

One of the important criteria in the selection of ceramic floor material is the slip resistance it shows against liquid substances poured on the floor. In areas with heavy usage traffic, the resistance of the floor against bumps and slipping and its maintenance are also among the factors that should be considered. The thickness and durability of the ceramic tile affects its use as a floor material. Generally, the ceramics used on the wall are thinner than floor ceramics and have less resistance to impacts and heavy loads. Ceramic tiles are available in different shapes and sizes. It consists of a mixture of clay, sand and natural materials cooked at high temperatures. These mixtures are placed in the necessary molds with special shaping methods and fired in the oven at very high temperatures.
It can be processed in appearances such as natural stone, leather and wood on the ceramic floor with different pattern applications. The variety in chemicals and cleaning products leaves different effects on tiles. Considering the suitability for the place to be laid, tiles resistant to these products are preferred.
